My Favorite Children's Books

Proud to Be Country is giving away a children's book of her choosing. All you have to do is leave a comment on her site or blog about the giveaway and tell her your favorite children's book.

Some of my favorite books:

Sweet Pickles - I loved these books as a child. They came in the mail every month.

*I loved a series of books from the library that were picture books with no words of various different scenes. The books had different themes such as underwater and circus. They had a blue cover. Anbody know what books these are?

Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss - always a great book especially when combined with making your own Oobleck.

Llama, Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney- This book has wonderful illustrations and rhyming text. It is about a Llama waiting for his mom to come tuck him in at night. My Beautiful Child by Lisa Desimini illustrated by Matt Mahurin

King Bidgood's in the Bathtub by Audrey Wood illustrated by Don Wood

I love all the Legend books by Kathy-Jo Wargin. The Legend of Sleeping Bear, The Legend of the Loon, The Legend of Mackinac Island, The Legend of the Petoskey Stone, The Legend of Leelanau, The Legend of Michigan and many more.

I could go on and on. I have several more favorites but I think this post is getting a little long.
