Laundry Confessionals

The other day I did laundry and had a realization. I have an addiction.

Here is what my laundry basket held when I was finished with laundry:

3 jeans
1 khaki pants
2 tshirts
6 shirts
4 hoodies
various undergarments
14 sets of pajamas

Do you see that?! 14 sets of pjs not individual pieces but tops and bottoms counted together. I think I have an addiction to loungewear. I admit there are days that I get up in the morning and put on a clean set of pjs to hang around the house in. I also admit there are days I hang out in the pjs I wore to bed that night.

When I get home and know I'm going to be staying home, you bet I'm going to be changing into something more comfortable. Currently, I'm sitting at the computer wearing last night's pjs of a snowman shirt and Santa Clause pants. They don't match and they each have their mate somewhere in the drawer. I was just too tired to match them up last night. I rarely actually match them up.

This year for Christmas, I received 2 more to join my 3 drawers full of loungewear. 3 drawers full! That is half of my clothing space in my dresser.

I don't intend to stop this addiction but I thought I'd share my laundry revelation from the other day.

A Very Important Question. Please Answer

I've got a very important question that I need to ask and I'd like all of you to leave your answers in the comment section.


How long do you wear your jeans before washing them?

a. 1 time
b. 2-3 times
c. I don't wear jeans

h. I give 'em a sniff and if they smell fine I put them on

I wear mine about 2-3 times and then they get washed. I only have 3 pairs so they need to be frequently washed.

Random Observations

• Fm static and Am static sound different. (I was using it as white noise to keep Buttercup asleep in the morning after Pony had already woken up)

• You probably shouldn't reek of alcohol when you go to Secretary of State. (I think the guy next to me needed this information)

• When I decide to use my camera the batteries always seem to be dead or as my camera says they are "exhausted".

• My "C" key doesn't always want to work.

• Now that I'm a year older my memory is going. (I had some other things I was going to share but can't remember them now)

• I love Ghiraradelli brownies and chocolate muffins.

• Um, now my "R" key doesn't like me. Maybe the batteries in the keyboard are "exhausted" just like my camera.

• Pinata's are super fun.

• Swinging is fun even in the middle of winter (photo taken winter 2007)

Yummie Tummie Review

I mentioned a few weeks ago about the EatDrinkandBeYummie website. It's a great site to find some amazing recipes, tips on places to eat or add your own favorite indulgence. While your there, you can also check out Yummie Tummie, the amazing shapewear that is meant to be seen.

The Yummie Tummie is shapewear that has a slimming mid section made of a patent pending dual fabric technology. It's a microfiber material so your outer clothes won't stick to it. The top and bottom of the Yummie Tummie is made of cotton and is meant to be seen. It looks great layered with other shirts on top and it hides any lumps or bumps underneath the shirt, even eliminating up to five pounds off your appearance.



My Review

Product/Style: Chocolate Long Strappy Yummie Tummie ($72)

Length: The Yummie Tummie comes in two lengths. Regular, which will be fine for most people or Long, for people with long torsos or people who want to have a long layer underneath. I went with the long because it's the only length in my size that had the Chocolate color left. I really like the long length. It hits me just about hip height and looks good under all my other shirts.

I've only wore the Yummie Tummie a few times but I really like it. It's comfortable to wear and helps hide my mid section when I raise my arms. It's also slimming. I'm not sure it takes 5lbs off my appearance but I felt it held me in nicely.

One problem I did have, although it's probably not a problem with the Yummie Tummie but a problem with undershirts in general. When I sit for awhile, it scooches up and I have to tug it back down when I stand up.

I have another product that just hides your middle but I prefer the Yummie Tummie because it has straps and doesn't fall down like my other mid section hider.

I'd love to have some of the other Yummie Tummie products as well. There are sparkle tank tops, short and long sleeve shirts and even a longer tank for under a dress. And there are many color options available. I wish I had a few in all the other colors.

I'm bringing up babywearing again because I've found a great new site that has amazing carriers. La Stella Blu carries many styles and brands of carriers. They have mei tais, pouch slings, buckle style, wraps and ring slings. Some of the brands they carry are BabyHawk, Hotslings, Moby, Ergo and many others. Make sure you check out their site.

They also carry other items as well, clothing and music. Make sure to browse the Babylegs. They are one of my favorite kids items. I won't tell you how many Babylegs I own, it's a lot. There are also items from Kate Quinn Organics and Feather Baby.

Inkheart is Almost Here

The time is drawing near for the movie I've been waiting for. I hope it's good. If it's not good and I've been waiting this long, I might scream. I've posted about this movie here and here and here (that last one was clear back in Dec 07). Oh you want to know what movie? Inkheart. It finally comes out Jan. 23. I'll be there. Post Killer

Have you ever written a complete post and then not liked it so you just erased the whole thing? Well I just did that. It was quite long too. I just didn't like how it was turning out and then I didn't feel like posting about that topic anymore. DELETE!

Maybe I'll try it a bit later.

I have written several blog posts. They're just in my mind and don't make it to the computer. When I sit down here, I just don't have much to say. I feel that my posts should be interesting and not just all rambly which tonight's is turning out to be.

I do have a few things planned in my mind, we'll see if they make it here or not.

A review of the Yummie Tummie is coming. I just got it in the mail the other day. I think it's going to be great product.

I also want to do a 'look back/look forward' type of post. It's in my brain as well. But many a post has died in there so hopefull it will see the light of day. If you don't see it soon feel free to leave a comment or email me and ask where it's at.
